Horizon DataSys started out in 1998 as a systems integrator of PC's in the Canadian market space. Initially providing large volume PC's to the educational market. In selling to the educational market space, Horizon DataSys realized that educators and IT professionals were faced with a need that was not being adequately fulfilled... "How to protect computers from public users (students)... From inadvertant user errors or malicious users". These IT professionals wanted a simple solution that would assist them in constantly having to reconfigure systems after every session or class.
In listening to our clients needs, Horizon DataSys developed its first software based “Restore on Reboot” solution. 2001 was the turning point for Horizon DataSys, as we shifted our systems integration focus over to the development and distribution of PC recovery software solutions. Our' first restore solution, Drive Vaccine, took off and is has become the #1 system recovery utility in school systems today.
We quickly realized that the scope of our original product, Drive Vaccine, was limited to the automated computer maintenance market only. Although this is a sucessful market for our initial Drive Vaccine product – the technology needed to evolve beyond restoring on every restart; if it were to become accepted into other mainstream markets.
In October 2005; Horizon DataSys introduced RollBack Rx. Advancing its original PC restore technology to include real-time complete system recovery. Allowing PC users to recover from any day zero disaster at any time...
